Our Mission
SCI is committed to giving back to our community.
It is really important for us as women in Construction to develop the social and leadership capacities of youth, young adults, and women so that they are prepared for employment in the industry
Our vision is for all youths growing up in the Greater Bay Area to feel valued, safe, and prepared to achieve their dreams of college, career, and leadership. To that end, we connect youths from underserved neighborhoods with access to the resources and opportunities they need to navigate gender, economic, and racial barriers, and realize their potential.
A key to addressing the shortage of construction workers and meeting that demand is to encourage women to learn about the trades and consider pursuing careers in construction, architecture, OSHA Certification, and engineering.
